The MOSAIC (Modelling, Simulation and Innovative Characterisation) Team is a Multidisciplinary Research Group established in the Materials and Surface Science Institute at the University of Limerick. Since its inception the MOSAIC Research Group has secured over €100 million in funding from Industry and the European Union, Science Foundation Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, Irish Research Council and HEA.
The research group consists of several members from the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Limerick including the Department of Chemical Sciences and the Department of Physics. Under the tutelage of excellent researchers, the MOSAIC team has produced highly skilled and qualified researchers in multiple disciplines capable of tackling industrial and academic problems.
Collectively the MOSAIC Team has published more than 200 peer-reviewed research papers, two excellent books on Bio/Material interface and been granted several patents and research awards.
